ONID - OSU Network ID

Configuring Entourage 2001:

1. Open Entourage
2. Open the Tools menu and choose Accounts.
3. Click on New.
4. Click the Assist Me button.
5. Enter your Name. This is how people will see your name on your emails. Click next.
6. Enter your Email Address, which should be in the form username@onid.orst.edu. Click next.
7. Select the type of Incoming Mail Server. Select IMAP from the pulldown menu.
8. The Incoming Mail Server name is imap.onid.oregonstate.edu.
9. The Outgoing Mail Server name is mail.oregonstate.edu. Click next.
   NOTE: If you are not on campus, you will need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for the name of their Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server.
10. Fill in your Account ID - your ONID username goes here.
11. Uncheck the Save password box. Click next.
12. Now fill in your Account Name, which you will use to identify the account (such as onid.orst.edu or ONID email).
13. Click Finish.
14. Enter your password when prompted.
15. Back to the Accounts window, double click on your ONID account to edit the account.
16. Click the Click here for advanced receiving options button.
17. Select the This IMAP service requires a secure connection (SSL) checkbox.
18. Choose the Advanced tab.
19. Select the Store special folders on IMAP server checkbox.
20. Click OK and close the Accounts windows.
21. Entourage is now configured to check your mail!
