ONID - OSU Network ID

Configuring Outlook 2002/2003:

1. Open Outlook 2002/2003
2. Open the Tools menu and choose E-mail Accounts...
3. Click Add then click Mail...
4. Choose Add a new e-mail account and click Next.
5. Choose IMAP as the Server Type and click Next.
6. Enter Your Name which is the name you want other people to see when they recieve your email.
7. Enter your E-mail Address. This should be in the form username@onid.orst.edu (where username is your ONID username).
8. The Incoming mail server (IMAP) name is imap.onid.oregonstate.edu
9. The Outgoing mail server (SMTP) name is mail.oregonstate.edu
   NOTE: If you are not on campus, you will need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for the name of their Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server.
10. Fill in your User Name - your ONID username goes here.
11. Uncheck the Remember password box.
12. Click the More Settings... button.
13. Choose the Advanced tab.
14. Under Incoming server (IMAP), select the This server requires a secure connection (SSL) checkbox and click OK.
15. Click Next.
16. Click Finish.
