Configuring Outlook 2007 for Windows:
- Open Outlook 2007
- Open the Tools menu and choose Account Settings
- On the E-mail tab, click New...
- Choose Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click Next
- Choose Manually configure server settings... and click Next
- Choose Internet E-mail and click Next
- Enter Your Name which is the name you want other people to see when they recieve your email
- Enter your E-mail Address in the form username@onid.orst.edu (where username is your ONID username)
- Choose IMAP as the Account Type
- The Incoming mail server (IMAP) name is imap.onid.oregonstate.edu
- The Outgoing mail server (SMTP) name is mail.oregonstate.edu
NOTE: If you are not on campus, you will need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for the name of their Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server
- Fill in your User Name - your ONID username goes here
- Uncheck the Remember password box
- Click the More Settings... button
- Choose the Advanced tab
- Choose SSL from the Incoming server (IMAP) drop-down list
- Click OK
- Click Next
