ONID - OSU Network ID

Configuring Outlook 2007 for Windows:

1. Open Outlook 2007
2. Open the Tools menu and choose Account Settings
3. On the E-mail tab, click New...
4. Choose Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click Next
5. Choose Manually configure server settings... and click Next
6. Choose Internet E-mail and click Next
7. Enter Your Name which is the name you want other people to see when they recieve your email
8. Enter your E-mail Address in the form username@onid.orst.edu (where username is your ONID username)
9. Choose IMAP as the Account Type
10. The Incoming mail server (IMAP) name is imap.onid.oregonstate.edu
11. The Outgoing mail server (SMTP) name is mail.oregonstate.edu
    NOTE: If you are not on campus, you will need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for the name of their Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server
12. Fill in your User Name - your ONID username goes here
13. Uncheck the Remember password box
14. Click the More Settings... button
15. Choose the Advanced tab
16. Choose SSL from the Incoming server (IMAP) drop-down list
17. Click OK
18. Click Next
